EID-UL-FITR: Ogun lawmaker, Hon Rasheed Kashamu calls for sustained compassion, communal progress

The lawmaker representing Ijebu North State Constituency 1, in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Rasheed Kashamu, has called on Muslim ummah to sustained the lessons of compassion, sacrifice, generosity and unity demonstrated during the Holy Month of Ramadan, which ended on Thursday.

Kashamu in his Eid-Ul-Fitr message to his constituents, the people of Ogun State and Nigeria, obtained by News Contact Online, noted that the Eid-Ul-Fitr marked the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

The House of Representatives aspirant for Ijebu North/Ijebu East/ Ogun Waterside said that the Ramadan period was devoted to fasting, prayer, sacrifice and spiritual reflection.

He said, ” It is a time that reminds us of the enduring values of compassion, self-discipline, generosity and unity.

“Today’s Eid-ul-Fitri is unique coming on a blessed day of Yaomul Jumu’ah. As we celebrate, I urge us all to uphold these virtues beyond the season and to continue to promote peace, tolerance and mutual respect in our various communities.

“This auspicious occasion also provides an opportunity to strengthen our bonds as a people. Regardless of faith or background, our collective progress depends on our shared commitment to harmony, understanding and service to one another.

” Let us continue to work together for the growth and development of our constituency and our dear state.

“I pray that the Almighty Allah, Subhana-Hu wa Taa-Llah accepts our acts of worship, grants us abundant blessings and brings peace, prosperity and renewed hope to every home.

“May this Eid bring joy to our hearts and strengthen our resolve for a better and more united society.”
