Ramadan: Senator Salisu distributes food items to Ogun Central Muslim community
Ogun Central Senator, Shuaib Afolabi Salisu has flagged off the distribution of food items to Muslim faithful at Islamic centers across Ogun Central Senatorial District as they observe this year’s Ramadan fast.
According to a statement from Senator Salisu’s media office, the distribution of food palliatives is a regular activity by the SAS Group to cushion the effect of the prevailing economic hardship experienced by many people and also offer relief to members of the Muslim community as they observe Ramadan fast.
The statement adds that the first phase of the distribution kicked off at the Muslim Community Central mosque at Oke-Mosan where the food items were handed over to the leadership of the mosque for onward distribution to members of the community.
“The distribution process will be extended to other central mosques across the senatorial district from tomorrow while regular callers on radio programs on more than 10 selected radio stations within the Senatorial District will also be given the food items for Free” the statement reads.
Senator Salisu further encourages the Muslim faithful to continue to seek Allah’s blessings and mercy as they observe the Ramadan Fast, not only for themselves but also for our dear Nation, Nigeria.
Members of the Muslim community however expressed gratitude to the senator for his kind gesture, highlighting the impact of the food distribution, and describing it as a deeply appreciated act of kindness.
