Accidents claim 10  on Lagos -Ibadan expressway

 10 persons lost their lives in two different auto crashes at Fidiwo and Kara areas on the Lagos Ibadan expressway, on Wednesday.

 The first accident happened at about 2.25pm and left four people burnt to death,  as a Toyota Hiace bus, they were travelling in lost control due to  burst tyre.

18 persons all male adults were said to be in the ill-fated vehicle.

The second crashed occured around 5.55pm as a result of excessive speed that led to loss of control, on the part of the driver of a Toyota Previa with registration number LRG 165 AA.

A total number of eight passengers were said to be in the vehicle comprising of six female adults and two male adults.

While five female adults and one male adult were killed in the accident.

The Ogun State Sector Commander, Ahmed Umar, said a total of 10 persons died in the two crashes.

Umar while commiserating with the families of the crash victims advised motorists to drive cautiously,  always check their tyres and obey speed regulations.
