Strike: Ogun NLC mobilizes members for nationwide protest rally tomorrow

The Ogun State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), has mobilized its members for the nationwide protest rally against the federal government over the strike actions embarked on by various unions in the nation’s ivory towers.

News Contact Online gathered that the protest rally will take off by 7.00am from the NLC Secretariat, Abiola Way, Abeokuta.

The national leadership of NLC had directed all state chapters to comply with the directive in other to press home their demands.

A message sent to members by the NLC State Assistant Secretary, Comrade Ayoolu Soetan, urged affiliates of the Congress to mobilize their members accordingly.

The message reads, “By the above latest directive, the protest rally will now hold on Tuesday 26th July 2022, take off time remained 7.00am from NLC Secretariat. Affiliates are by this information directed to comply and mobilize their members accordingly.”

News Contact Online recalled that all the four unions within the university system have been on strike for several months.
