Abiodun declares one week mourning in honour of slain Director of Finance

….says national flag be flown half mast

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Thursday, declared one week mourning in honour of the late Director of Finance and Administration, Taiwo Oyekanmi, who was murdered on Wednesday, by unknown gunmen while on official duty.

He made the announcement shortly after presenting the 2024 budget before the State House of Assembly, on Thursday.

Abiodun in his speech before reading the budget described the incident that led to the death of Oyekanmi, as devastating and sad.

He vowed that those behind to the heinous acts would be fished out for justice 

Abiodun therefore declared that the national flag be flown half mast in memory of the departed.
