Recommendations for the awards which were done through various sets that passed through the school were also weighted against individuals’ service to the School and the Alumni Association as a whole.

The President of the Association, Mr. Femi Olubanwo, said the honour is bestowed on individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their different endeavours, thereby serving as living examples of the values instilled in them during their time at IGBOBI College.

He urged that as their achievements were being applauded, they should not stand as individual triumphs, but also as the collective success which the Alumni Association represents and potential for even greater laurels.

Olabimtan, in his response appreciated members of his set for counting him worthy of their nomination, promising not to take such gesture for granted.

The awardee also assured them of his readiness to support the school

that helped in shaping his destiny.
