Ogun lawmaker, Akingbade, awards scholarships, mega empowerment programmes for constituents

A three term member of Ogun State House of Assembly representing Imeko/Afon State Constituency unveils a two-in one support program for his constiuents. 

The programme includes a scholarship award for scholars  and a Mega Empowerment Program for various categories of Imeko/Afon people.

According to Hon Jemili Akingbade, the program was concieved as part of his effort to foster Community Growth, inspire effort to promote educational attainment and personal development within the local government.

Hon Akingbade proudly announced the launch of the Scholarship Award and Empowerment Program in a released signed by his Media Committee stated that, the initiative is designed to provide financial support for education and equip  community members with vital skills and tools for economic and personal empowerment.

The Scholarship is aimed at creating opportunities for individuals to pursue higher education and professional development, it will also help to eliminate barriers to success and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth while the empowerment is Hon Akingbade’s commitment to invest in his community’s future, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to achieve their dreams and contribute meaningfully to society.

The release indicated that the program is billed to hold on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Onimeko Conference Centre, Imeko, as part of the celebration of the significance of the year 2024 Democracy Day. 

Expected to grace the inaugural edition of the support initiatives are Royal Fathers, Political leaders, clerics, community leaders, students, and other good people of Imeko Afon.
