Most Nigerian artists underrate local streamers, says Peller

TikToker and streamer Peller has expressed disappointment with Nigerian musicians, stating that they prioritise foreign influencers and media personalities over local ones.

In a recent livestream in Enugu, Peller claimed that many artists only engage with local streamers when their fame begins to decline.

Citing his experience collaborating with Nigerian musicians, Peller noted that only a few, including Davido, Olamide, and Tiwa Savage, are genuinely kind and supportive of local talent.

He urged Nigerian entertainers to recognise the value of local media and influencers, regardless of their global success.

“Nigerian musicians don’t rate local streamers. They will be streaming with Americans, but when they don turn old taker, na then dem go dey find Naija streamers up and down.

“I don catch their scope. Very few Nigerian musicians are kind. Davido, Olamide, and Tiwa savage are among the few kind ones,” he said.
