In a significant demonstration of support for the 2027 governorship aspiration of Distinguished Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), a Houston, USA-based Nigerian technocrat and philanthropist, Mr. Fakunle Taohid Tunde (FTT), has partnered with Hon. Nafiu Olawale Abimbola (NOA), Secretary to Imeko-Afon Local Government and Coordinator of a statewide support group for Senator Adeola.

Through the FTT Foundation, Mr. Fakunle donated a number of Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to strengthen the operational capacity of the support movement working towards the victory of Senator Adeola in the 2027 Ogun State Governorship Election.

Among the vehicles donated is a Ford F-150, which has been designated for use in the convoy of the incoming Governor, while the remaining vehicles will be deployed to facilitate the activities of the support group across various parts of Ogun State.

The presentation took place on Monday, June 15, 2026, at the Radisson Blu Hotel Ikeja, shortly after a closed-door meeting involving Senator Adeola and key stakeholders. The gesture drew admiration from dignitaries and political leaders in attendance, many of whom described it as a clear demonstration of commitment to the YAYI project and the future development of Ogun State.

In addition to the vehicles, FTT announced an extensive package of campaign support materials aimed at boosting grassroots mobilization across the state. The package includes thousands of branded face caps and vests, thousands of exercise books for students, giant campaign posters, and other promotional materials to enhance visibility and public engagement for the YAYI project throughout Ogun State.

Speaking at the event, supporters commended the collaboration between FTT and NOA, noting that it reflects the growing confidence of Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora in the leadership capacity and vision of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.

In his remarks, Hon. Nafiu Olawale Abimbola expressed optimism that the statewide support group would make a swift and positive impact on the overall campaign outlook. He also offered prayers for a landslide victory for Senator Adeola, stating that he was making the prayers in the spirit of his recent return from the Holy Hajj pilgrimage.

Hon. Abimbola further acknowledged the invaluable contributions of Hon. Babatunde Olaotan (HBO), Otunba Sanusi Adeniyi, Personal Assistant to Senator Adeola, and Asiwaju Oladayo Oladipupo, Legislative Aide to the Deputy Senate President, noting that their support and commitment were instrumental to the success of the meeting and the broader objectives of the support movement.

Political observers believe the donations and additional support materials will further energize grassroots mobilization efforts and strengthen the expanding network of support for Senator Adeola’s governorship bid ahead of the 2027 elections.
