APC inaugurates Odogbolu campaign committees, presents appointment letters to members

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Odogbolu Local Government has inaugurated its campaign committees and presented appointment letters to members as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s organisational structure and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The inauguration ceremony, held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Odogbolu Town Hall, brought together party leaders, candidates, stakeholders, and campaign committee members to establish a coordinated framework for the party’s campaign activities.

The initiative reflects the party’s commitment to promoting inclusiveness, accountability, competence, and effective grassroots engagement in its mobilisation strategy across the local government.

The campaign structure is designed to support the party’s candidates, including Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, for Ogun State Governor; Mrs. Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun for Deputy Governor; and Hon. Lukman Adeleye, who is seeking re-election to represent Odogbolu State Constituency at the Ogun State House of Assembly.

In his welcome address, the APC Odogbolu Local Government Party Chairman, Akogun Muyiwa Idowu, warmly received party leaders, candidates, stakeholders, and members. He acknowledged their presence and participation in the exercise, which is aimed at strengthening the party’s campaign machinery at the grassroots.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Lukman Adeleye expressed heartfelt appreciation for the impressive turnout and commended the committee members for the confidence, commitment, and willingness they demonstrated towards the party’s activities.

He emphasised the importance of collective responsibility, effective coordination, and sustained engagement with constituents, noting that the success of the campaign would depend largely on the dedication and cooperation of members across the various campaign structures.

Similarly, the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate, Mrs. Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun, urged party members to work harmoniously, maintain unity, and discharge their assigned responsibilities with diligence and a strong sense of commitment.

She underscored the importance of teamwork and cooperation among party leaders, campaign officials, and grassroots mobilisers in achieving the party’s objectives.

A major highlight of the ceremony was the formal inauguration of the campaign committees, followed by the presentation of appointment letters to members, officially recognising their respective roles and responsibilities within the campaign structure.

The exercise marks a significant organisational step for the APC in Odogbolu Local Government, bringing its leadership, candidates, campaign teams, and grassroots representatives together under a coordinated framework for the political activities ahead.

With the inauguration concluded, attention now turns to the responsibilities of the newly inaugurated committees in strengthening grassroots mobilisation, sustaining engagement with party members, and advancing the party’s campaign objectives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
