The Imeko-Afon APC Youth Independent Mobilisation Team has commenced its mobilisation drive for the 2027 general elections with a Mega Unity Rally held in Imeko, Imeko-Afon Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The rally, which attracted youths from the 10 wards of the local government, was organised to mobilise support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.

Addressing the gathering, Convener of the group, Alhaji Okanlomo Aliu Adio ONSA, ACIPM, described the event as a unity rally aimed at bringing together youths from different backgrounds across the local government.

He said the rally attracted community, Christian, Muslim and traditional youths, who had come together to work for the success of the APC at all levels.

According to him, the mobilisation initiative is being driven by youth leaders across Imeko-Afon, including Comrade Yusuf Olaegbe, Comrade Olaosebikan Malik, Mr Ismail Nasiru and other coordinators.

Adio also announced the inauguration of youth mobilisers for each polling unit across the local government, charging them to commence grassroots mobilisation in their respective areas ahead of the elections.

He said the initiative was structured to ensure effective coordination and sustained engagement with voters at the grassroots.

The convener said the group was committed to mobilising support for the APC governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as well as other candidates of the party from the presidential to the State House of Assembly levels.

He described the Imeko-Afon APC Youth Independent Mobilisation as a disciplined and structured movement, stressing that its members were prepared to work with the existing structures of the party, particularly the APC Mobilisation Committee.

“We are all one united family in APC and we are ready to work with all party structures to achieve victory in 2027,” he said.

Adio appreciated youth leaders, party stakeholders and supporters who participated in the rally, urging them to sustain the mobilisation until the 2027 elections.

The rally was held in a peaceful atmosphere, with participants expressing their support for the APC and its candidates.

The organisers said the event marked the beginning of a sustained grassroots mobilisation campaign across Imeko-Afon ahead of the 2027 general elections.
