Ramadan, time for spiritual growth, says Gov Abiodun

The Ogun State Govenor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has urged Islamic faithful to see tbe holy month of Ramadan, as a period for spiritual growth, renewal of faith and sober reflection.

The governor advised them to shield themselves from any form of sins throughout the fasting.

The message reads, “In this holy month of Ramadan, I would like to seize this opportunity to wish our Muslim brothers and sisters a very blessed and joyful Ramadan Kareem!

“The Ramadan period is a time for reflection, spiritual growth, and renewal of faith, thereby allowing all Islamic Faithful to shield themselves from sin through fasting. 

“As we embark on this blessed journey, let us remember the true spirit of Ramadan and strive to be our best selves. 

“May this month bring us closer to the Almighty Allah and instill in us the values of kindness, compassion, and generosity towards others. May our fast be accepted and our prayers answered. 

Ramadan Kareem!”
