Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, Ogun Central Senatorial District, has hailed the All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and party members at Opeji Ward 10, in Odeda Local Government Area of the State, for conducting themselves in orderly manners during the Ward Congresses to elect new ward executives.

The lawmaker in a statement obtained by News Contact Online said the exercise followed the endorsement of the convention timetable by the party’s National Working Committee and APC governors, which outlined a clear series of activities leading to our national convention scheduled for next month.

Senator Salisu said he was pleased to report that his ward in Ogun Central has faithfully adhered to this timetable in a most orderly manner.

“It was indeed a heartwarming experience to stand with the grassroots—the true pillars of our party—as they exercised their democratic rights freely and without hindrance. The process in Opeji Ward 10, like in other wards across Ogun Central Senatorial District, reflected the very best of our party’s internal democracy.

“This exercise followed the endorsement of the convention timetable by our party’s National Working Committee and APC governors, which outlined a clear series of activities leading to our national convention scheduled for next month. I am pleased to report that our ward in Ogun Central has faithfully adhered to this timetable in a most orderly manner.

“I must specifically praise the calm atmosphere that characterised the exercise across the entire state. Watching our party members conduct themselves with such decorum reinforces my belief that the APC is not just a party but a family united by shared progressive values. The peaceful outcome is a clear reflection of the unity and maturity that define our great party today.

“I wish to place on record my profound gratitude to the ward members of Opeji Ward 10 and indeed all party faithful across Ogun Central for their massive turnout, unwavering support, and for allowing peace to reign supreme throughout the exercise. Your commitment to fairness and orderliness did not go unnoticed.

“Our APC remains the one and only party—not just in Nigeria but the leading political party in Africa. What we witnessed today across the wards is proof that we are setting the standard for democratic practice on the continent.

“I commend all party faithful for their discipline and orderly behaviour. The peaceful outcome across the state once again demonstrates that the APC remains the party to beat in Ogun State, and we are building on a solid foundation of grassroots legitimacy.

“Specifically, I extend my sincere appreciation to our leader and Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun – MFR , whose commitment to due process and inclusive leadership continues to guide our party in the right direction. His statesmanship has ensured that every member feels heard and valued.

“I also acknowledge the diligent efforts of the Congress Committee overseeing the exercise across the state, particularly those who supervised the process within the Ogun Central Senatorial District. Your dedication to a transparent and credible process is highly commendable.

“As we move forward to the next levels of our party’s internal processes, I urge all elected executives to see their emergence as a call to selfless service. Let us continue to work together to strengthen our party and deliver the dividends of democracy to our people,” the lawmaker said.
